Are you a parent who is...

  • Struggling & Stressed out

Parenting is hard -- likely one of the hardest things you will ever do. When our kids are constantly crying, screaming, or refusing to do what they're asked, or are just outright mean and hurt your feelings, when they sneak out, break the law, or take the car, or when they bite, hit you, and embarrass you in public-- when you have tried everything, searched everywhere, and are at wits end-- focusing on teaching and relationship building sounds so simple but it is the proven, evidence-based place to start.

  • Seeking Peace Amidst Mental, Emotional, and Behavioral Wrestles

Whether it's ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, or deep pains related to depression, anxiety, trauma, and attachment-- parenting a struggling and vulnerable child can be made easier with the right skill set. Learn what your therapists and all the professionals seem to know so YOU can be the expert for your child too.

  • Nervous and Hopeful

Do you have a child in treatment who will soon come home? Perhaps they've been in wilderness therapy for 12 weeks, residential treatment for a year, or you are going through a divorce and you are nervous about how to help them continue their progress in your home. Perhaps they are in day treatment and you want to grow and develop skills right along with them. Either way, create the environment your child needs to continue to grow and progress.

How We Can Help...

"I believe parents are doing the best they can. When we struggle, it may be that we weren't taught the skills in the first place, don't know where to find the answers, or don't even know the answers exist. Some of us have especially spirited children, or perhaps children with mental, emotional, of behavioral struggles. Parenting has been researched for well over 60 years now and we know what works. There is, in fact, a parenting manual. I want all parents to have access to that manual and I want them to find their answers in whatever format they need." -- Naomi Halterman

"Let's normalize getting help with parenting. Bringing someone into the world and raising a HUMAN is literally the most important work you will ever do. And whereas we all have different talents, strengths, and skillsets... good, effective, connection-based teaching does NOT necessarily come naturally to all of us. ESPECIALLY amidst crying and screaming toddlers with constant mishaps, or ungrateful, argumentative teenagers, or even simply behavioral or mental health challenges that are not anyone's fault. It takes courage and humility to accept help with parenting, but it's something we could certainly all use. Even myself." --Naomi Halterman

Testimonials

From Parents Like You

“Naomi is very obviously an expert on the content of parenting. Not only is she a master teacher, but she taught me how to be a better teacher of my children. Her very positive approach takes into account my children's developmental level as well as their individual personalities. It helped me to learn how to teach skills in advance, rather than just reacting. Her content has made me a more purposeful, thoughtful, and present parent.”

Chelsea, mother of 4 (ages 3 months-9 years old)

“Naomi changed our lives with the parenting skills she taught us. I was feeling so overwhelmed, stuck in power struggles and not understanding how to direct my kids in a way that would encourage and uplift them rather than tear them down. Learning to "Observe and Describe," to praise in appropriate ways, and plan for and teach useful skills to my kids helped me feel more calm and able to problem solve in a warm and loving way.”

Melanie, Mother of 4 (ages 2-13)

“I have learned literally everything I know about parenting from Naomi. I've spent hours roleplaying with her to develop the skills I sought to parent my kids firmly but gently. I want my kids to like me, seek me out, and actually value what I have to say... and well, I'm a work in progress but I definitely could not have achieved that without her help. ”

Cody, father of 2

“From the moment I met Naomi, I knew she was going to be the guidance I needed to improve my parenting style. Not just for my children but also for myself. She has never made me feel shamed or guilty for being overwhelmed at times with my children, but she did show me a better approach that has created such a positive impact on our lives! She has taught me to be more patient, understanding and observant towards my children and their behaviors. Whether it was teaching to a wrong or praising for a right; she showed me an effective way to be a leader and an advocate for my children. Because of Naomi and her skills of parenting, my children reflect what I've taught them towards others in their lives. It's something I hope they pass on for generations!”

Karma, mother of 3 (ages 1-8)
